does anyone know if the cross member for a turbo 350 and a turbo 400 are different ?

As far as I know, they both use the same crossmember but I think one is shorter than the other so it would use different holes in the frame to mount it.

ok thanks , i have a custom one on my 70 pro street they notched the exhaust to go around it ,i dont like it ,going to replace with a stock one

Correct.
I've done many original TH350 to TH400 Chevelle swaps in the past using the same crossmember.

The rubber trans mount are different. One is taller then the other.
