I have a chevelle from Flint Michigan, I was told its a 454 car. Did Flint put some 5000 rpm Tachs in 454 cars. And did flint not put the build sheets in cars.
Thanks

There is no build sheet per say its just a little tickertape about 2 inches wide and 6 or so inches long look for. A Flint build sheet is rare. 5000 tach did not come in Chevelles that I know of, 5500 on LS5 and 402, 6500 on L78 and LS6.

FWIW, Lakewood plant in Atlanta used a lot of 5000 redline tachs in SS equipped Chevelles in production, for the 1970 model year.

I know they were used in the 307 and the 350 cars. 70 was an odd year with the workers strike, so parts were switch at times.

Found this for sale add

This is a 5000 RPM redline tach #6469938 for '70 Chevelle, El Camino or Monte Carlo. Excellent condition. Real deal original tach. Correct for Atlanta built LS5's, some Baltimore built LS5's and various '70 small blocks.
