Upgrade suggestions

I have a 70 Chevelle Malibu with a 350. I'm getting ready to order new bushings and ball joints for the front, new bushings for the rear, disc brakes conversion and wiring kit.

1. Poly or rubber? Rubber is softer but poly improves handling right? Does poly get squeaky as they age?

2. Disc brakes (4 wheel), is slotted worth the $$$, will I feel a difference with slotted? It'll be a driver so stopping is important! I want a complete kit to keep it simple, I'm new to all this resto stuff!

3. Wiring, American or Painless?

Any suggestions on somewhere that is less expensive than opgi.com. I'll pay the extra for MADE IN USA? Free shipping is a big plus.

Take a look at classic performance products for the disc kit.
I have their kit with a hydrobost.
I stop on a dime.

I used the american auto wire classic update. The directions were easy to follow and all the needed connectors and gromets came with the kit. There is plenty of extra length in each harness so you can route it differently if desired.
I also have the SSBC disc conversion kit. It was easy to install and is working well. Just the base kit for me so i can't comment on any of the other aspects of you question.

CPP looks very nice! Price isn't too bad either for how good they look. I'll have to get new wheel to show off the system. :cool: Any issues with install, all lines hook up right and everthing?

In pretty sold on the American writing kit. I hope it is as easy as it was for you.

I got the base kit back in 2007. everything went together fine.
The only draw back i ran into was the rear caliper bleeder screw
dosent sit at the highest point...so the caliper must be rotated a tad
to bleed them.
Not sure if they are still that way...you may wana ask them or any other
kit mfg. hope that helps.
