The one photo is not of mine, but what I want mine to be similar to when completed.

It looks like you have your work cut out for you. But, ...all it takes is time and money. :D

Keep at it and it'll look like the nice one before you know it. Keep us posted on the progress!

I have seen much worse repairs using chicken wire and bondo ,so it could be much worse .But keep the pics coming and hopefully that is the worst you find .

I have also seen much worse, but will take some work to repair it correctly.

Used and abused. :( Are the floor pans solid?

That looks better than some of the repairs that had been made on mine. Time, work and patience will make it happen for you.

If it makes you feel any better, this is the stuff that finds it's way into my shop.

Someone else's idea or a repair. ...yes, that's normal window screen in there.

Here's a proper repair with metal welded in.

This stuff is a big reason I strip vehicles to see what's been done before. Some decent looking cars were absolute disasters under a shiny paint job. As long as you're doing it, do it once and do it right. I'm excited to see this one progress.

I am sorry, but the screen is hilarious. I know that I have seen some really weird things, the best one was the floor in grumpys 72 Jeep Commando was made with various "For Sale"and "Politician" signs covered with black tar.

I could go on for days about the shoddy stuff I've seen. These were just the pictures I had handy. Like I said, that's why I strip everything down to bare metal and start over. One paint job and PROPER body work make for a nicer end result.

At least the for sale signs and tar were water proof. :p

My father and I restored a 67' L79 ElCamino, the floors were pretty much the same... real estate signs and roofing tar. I t was a nasty mess that took me days to remove.
