Just curious what batteries those of you prefer? Do you stick with the AC Delco?

If your going with the factory stock look and pretty much stock original type car, thats the route I would go, Otherwise depending on your needs inside the car: Engine, alternator, stereo, lighting, extra's calculate your CCA needs and reserve and go from there. I always use atleast a 1000CCA starting battery.

In the Chevelle I have a 1000 CCA starting battery. In other toys, I use a combo of starting and deep cycle or just deep cycle for the power needed. Never had any problems.... My boys used to go with Optima's in their rides, but after several problems with them, they went a different route.

Local Battery Whse has always been helpful in battery selection and needs.Just put 2 new ones in the Freightliner and they were very helpful, even installed them free of charge !

I have a Optima Gel Cel Battery. I do not want a battery leaking in my car. Interstate batteries are also good.

If you want an original looking battery for your car, check this out.
http://www.restorationbattery.com/r59.html It's alittle pricey but it's a dry cell so you won't have to worry about acid leaking all over the place. I've also used a battery by Odyssey. It's also a dry cell battery but it has plenty of CCA's.

I would never put an acid battery in my classic. I had one leak and made a HUGE mess of my enigine comp. I ended up pulling the engine and repainting everything under the hood. Never again! The dry cell is well worth the extra money. Bowtie smiley
