I am in the hunt for a 69 Chevelle SS I found this one tell me what it should sell for.
1969 Chevelle SS 396, matching numbers motor, bored and modified slightly. Original 12 bolt rear end (non posi) originally an A/C car but gone now. TH350 tranny not sure if original or not. Monaco (hugger) Orange 72 code paint, black vinyl top, black SS stripe down side, bucket seats, center console. Great condition except wiring needs finishing under dash and hood. 2 hoods 1 being the stock SS hood.

I just want some quick feedback on what it might sell for because i am looking to buy it Thursday if the price is in the ball park.

Looks like I am going to go ahead and buy the Chevelle, we nailed down a price of $17k. I am going to need to replace the wiring under the hood and inside the dash. Its an A/C car with the optional tach package if anyone knows where to pick one up please let me know.

Honestly i dont want to link the ad right now in thoughts i might lose out on the option to buy it if someone reads it and beats me. Just want to get some ball park numbers on what they are going for, to buy this one or keep looking.

TH350 was not available on SS396 cars... 3spd Muncie was standard, and optional transmissions were the 4spd muncies and TH400 3spd automatic.

If #s all check out, I'd say ~18-20k for a nice driver.

Big-blocks came standard with a 12-bolt rear axle. Small-blocks usually had a 10-bolt, but could be optionally equipped with a 12-bolt. Positraction was NEVER standard equipment on the SS, but was always an option. The only exception was that if you ordered the 4.10 (or higher) rear axle ratio option, positraction was mandatory.

That looks like a very nice car ,dont know about what its worth but would guess 18 to 20,000 .Is it orange or red ? Looks orange on my screen which would be a plus .No matter the price if you like it and its in your price range buy it .In the long run its worth what youre willing to pay ,as long as you are happy with it.I like it from that one pic.

Let's see the ad... not a lot of people will see it and I doubt anyone will buy it soon. Plus we don't want you to get screwed on the asking price. Have you posted this on the Whats It Worth on the Team Chevelle Forum? There are some real chevelle pro's on there and a member might even go out there to look at it with you.

I would check the trim tag for the paint code on it. If it is Monaco (hugger) Orange 72 code paint then it is a true SS with out the build sheet, since it was only available on SS cars. Price seems reasonable for the car.
