View Full Version : alternator bracket question

so i said to myself everyday i want to do something to my chevelle even as small as putting my hand on it..lol so this weekend after cleaning out the garage i came across two parts one was the fuel pump and push rod and the other was the alternator bracket. I got the push rod in its easy now that i know how to do it, installed the fuel pump done. went to bold on the alternator bracket and then i got confused. i got them on but it just doesnt look right here is the pictures

is it suppose to bolt on to the intake manifold and the water pump?

Here's some pictures from mine. You will need to change the manifold bolt to a stud style bolt.

o man where am i going to find a stud style bolt like that? thanks again for showing me that but i guess i need to research some more then

Mounting kits are available, Here's the stud but need to make sure it is the correct size. I've seen some that are wrong. My intake has 4 of them on it on for alternator, engine lift bracket and vacuum brake booster tube.
