If they bring it back, i think they should do it just like the pictures below.

The roof line, rear glass, and taillites look like a 69. I kind of like it too. Mabey a little longer would help it.

That yellow one that has been rumored to be come here as the "Chevelle" is based on the mid-sized Holden Commodore, same as the G8. The rumored "Police-only" Caprice is based on the full-size Holden Statesman.

I think make a car based off the g8, but not call it the chevelle give it a new name. I honestly think every picture i have seen of chevelle concepts ruin the car, except the two i originally posted.

lets face it the ones you posted are great! but will never happen. they are not going to have 3 super coupes. they have the vette and the camaro and to make another car based on the camaro platform would be a waste. no matter how they slice it if the chevelle returns its going to be 4dr to compete with the charger. sure will they make a 2 dr model i can see that but not the only model they make. with todays world they really only want to see one muscle car per company. and i just dont see the chevelle's return of a muscle car lasting very long.

I would find a way to drive the first rendering. As far as the yellow car goes, I think it's absolutely hideous.

That was the first thing that I thought. Looks a lot like the Camaro to me.

The jury is out on whether I am a fan yet. Not sure I care for the back end. Maybe it will grow on me.

I honestly love the back end of it, just do to the fact that its so different from the camaro rear end.

and anyways, they could make three super coups if they wanted. I mean they did back then, so why not now?

because people dont want to spend the money now thats why. in the 60's and 70's these cars cost 1/8 of what they cost now. and people would by one car and that was enough for them. now every house needs at least 3 cars if you dont live in a big city where you can take a bus or train. i know where i live i need my car and my wife needs her car. and i use my rx7 if anything happens to any one of our cars. today most homes have two cars one for each spouse and if the guy is a car guy or the woman is a car guy(lol sorry had to) they will have something fancy that stays in the garage. so if they do make a thrid super coupe they will have to trim the numbers of a proven car like the vette and trim the numbers of the camaro to make the chevelle it will never happen. look at all of the car companies today. all of them have 1 (ONE!) sport coupe. all the rest are 4 drs and suv's. i'm not talking about honda making a 2dr civic and a 4dr civic i am talking about honda's s2000 mazda is ending the run of the rx8 and going to focus on the Miata. ford has the mustang what other super coupe do they have? dodge has the challenger what other super coupe do they have? look at all the car dealers out there today and tell me which other car company has more then 2 sport coupes that are considered the company race car? and then look at them and see how many have 3! None of them! thats why!
