Has anyone here any experience with Covan's dashboards ?

I have been considering one to replace the sweep dash in our Malibu.

My original dash has seen better days and I'm sort of leery paying big buck to have it restored.

What would you do ? Thanks

Dave

I'm pretty sure Brian (Bowtie-Bri) did his, restore that is. Mines coming out soon, it's in good shape so mostly clean it up and repaint. I want to install a gauge conversion kit when I do. Then I can get rid of the tach and other gauges hanging off the bottom of the dash.

Don't know about the Covan's dash but I have an SS round dash so I'm not getting rid of it.

There's a guy, Scott, on that other Chevelle site... Screen name is 1BadBu... I think he has some pictures in here:

He modified his sweep dash with aftermarket gages. IMO, it looks better than the Covan dash...

I would restore the one you have. The aftermarket stuff does not appeal to me personally. Just my opinion. I have restored plenty of sweep dashes and they come out great. Attached are some pictures of a SS dash I restored. Original is always the best.

RealRed70, looks like you just joined up. Why not post in the introductions forum and tell us about yourself?

The dash looks good.
