HID Light Conversion

I hve a 67 Chevelle and I want to convert my stock 5 inch lights to HID lights I can find the kits but not the headlight to go along with the kit. Has anyone done this if so could you please tell me where you got the kit.

I believe the 67's used the H5006 low beam and H5001 Hi beam bulbs so here ya go...

those are from Hella and are a better quality than the Pilots. Just keep in mind you need 4 of them and I belive most kits come with only 2. They have an H4 style bulb opening so keep that in mind when ordering the HID kit.
Pilot also makes a cheap set that takes an H3 or 9003 style bulb. They are A LOT CHEAPER but I'm not sure on the quality.

Hella also makes this composite projector lens style that is almost half the price of the glass lens too. There are many options, I guess it depends on how you use the car and your taste/direction you want to go with the conversion. You could have it close to stock-appearing or totally modern like a pro-touring type thing.

wow that is a big difference in price! i was thinking about doing that later on but see 180 bucks on the lens thats big chump change when the sealed light coust 14...lol

That's why I threw in the link and picture of the Pilots for $16.47/pair plus S&H. You could always upgrade later on but I'm not sure if you are going to have a problem with the lens overheating and melting. The good HID kits aren't cheap either. You get what you pay for. I know a few guys running the cheap kits and the ballasts go and the bulbs are junk and they don't seem as bright as the good kits. The color of the light isn't always as nice either but then again you could replace the whole kit for the cost of just one replacement HID bulb.
