so i ask what do you guys use to coat the inside of the car? a friend of mine with his 66 mustang used a can of underbody coating. he said i should do the same, what do you think?

I would just clean it up good and paint it and then put a down like dynamat, fatmat, etc. I would not use undercoating inside of the car. I used an Eastwood product on mine and I'm very happy with it. Your floors look solid.

I used a quart of rustoleum from home depot and brushed it on real thick.

If there is any surface rust and your not blasting it. I would highly suggest a rust encapsulator paint like POR15.

Another vote for POR if your not gonna clean up the rust. Then Dynamat away.

It was just a quart of the rustoleum oil based paint.

I had tons of rust on my floor and used coroseal rust converter before I painted anything.

POR 15 as stated above is awesome! if you can get it locally then I'd go with it.

If you use POR15 use gloves you do not want to get it on your skin. It also should be appied directly over the bare metal. I believe I read it can cause cancer because of whats in it. Eastwood has safer products that why I lean that direction. And if you use a rust converter they ony convert the rust on top and not deep down. With anything that you decide to use prep is the most important part before you apply anything.

That stuff costs way more than its worth. You really need to consider Rustolium or POR15. The lizard skin is going to peel right off your floor. JMHO

Really dosent bond good to rust. Or unprepped paint.

its not really that rusty its just surface rust i went out there with a soft wire brush and it started coming right off. but from what i am reading not much prepping is need, so what have you read or know about it peeling off?
