Hey guys, I'm Kevin. I got a 1970 Chevelle Malibu with a 454,TH400, 12 bolt and bench seat dark green interior. The car is currently black, but was originally a code 45 green. Nothing special, but has SS wheels and SS hood. I've had this car for about 10 years now, and it will probably be another 10 years to get the car where I want it. I never joined a car club or anything due to never having any time. I work for a local Fire District which is a great job. I also have a few Chevy trucks and a 25' Chris Craft boat.

Hey Grandsport and Flash, thanks for the welcome also! I'm not a member because I'd never have the time to go to the meets/shows or anything. I wish I had more time but I work for a fire district, then volunteer in the town I live in (1st Lt Engine Co.) for the local fire dept. and I also work with one of my friends on the side doing marine/mechanic stuff. I got a full plate and a baby German Shepherd puppy so my free time is non-existent. I didn't even put my own boat in the water this season. I'm not a member at this time but it may happen in the future.

Welcome to the site. Post some pics of your car...there's no shame here. W'd love to see it.

Lon Guyland huh? I used to live up that way in Westchester, and vacationed across the sound in Madison Beach CT.

Glad to have you here.

hey guys, glad to see i'm so welcome here. I'm working on pictures but I can't send them off my old computer. My digital camera also crapped out so it might be easier just to snap some with my phone the next time I dig it out of the garage. It is by far a show car, even rough for a driver. It photographs well. It has had half quarters put on it and the wheel wells were patched with the original hood. The car had a bad windshield leak for many years and the cowl panel is badly rotted. I have no choice but to keep it in the garage or covered to keep the water out of it. I patched the floors when i first got it but stopped driving the car for a while when it lost oil pressure in the 400ci smallblock it had in it. I put the 454 in it just to drive it and thought about making an SS clone but instead figured i'd like to go back to the original green and keep the bench seat interior and make it look more like a Malibu 400 car with the L34. I wish I could have gotten it from the original owner because the guy i got it from hacked the crap out of the car. I;ve been putting original parts back on it little by little

Welcome Kevin,

'72 Malibu owner here.

You are not alone in still trying to figure out things on the site. I have posted some "HOW TO's" to help you in figuring out how to post pics. Just search "HOW TO" and it should pull up a u-tube video that helps.

When I was a kid my neighbor had a red 70 chevelle called highway star.
He raced at National Speedway and street. I bought it in 85 and restored it. I sold it in 87 just before I goy married. I was looking for any info on this car.
