So basically after you bought it, a little buffing out and it was ready to go. That's some serious restoration Dave, can't wait to see it finished.

Is that a sun roof I see? :D Looks like a project that is coming together very well.... I was lucky as my '65 was an Arizona car and had no rust issues.
It was more like a whole sky roof :)

When I saw the roof picture I was hoping you weren't going to do a custom canvas roof like the old VW Bugs had.:D

There's a women with a, around 70, Skylark with a slide back vinyl roof. She show's up at Baker's, local cruise in, and I've seen her at the Woodward Dream Cruise. The car is a strange red-pink color and the vinyl, what ever you call it, top is white. She always wears clothes the same colors as her car. Always by herself, a little out there, but pleasant enough.

Wow, you went in with both feet on that one. I hope I don't have to go that far.

You know...that's not a terrible idea, some sort of tinted plexi-roof...if you could get it stiff enough, it might be neat. Oooh, maybe some t-tops are in order. :D

I thought that I did a few times. Well now I have made a final decision, on the base color, just have to make sure that the heavy chevy stripe is the color that I want.
