Hello from Cape Fear, NC. I recently purchased a 1972 Malibu/Chevelle. It is red with black SS stripes. I had one back in the late eighties but totaled it. Ever since then I have always wanted another one. 72 is my birth year, so it is a very special car to me.
Luckily being a southern car it had minimal rust. Some small holes in the rear seat area and a rotted out cowl panel. The car has a complete new interior in new packaging, yet to be installed. The previous owner had several classic cars and this was the newest of them. He said he lost interest. I bet it was right after he discovered the rotten cowl.
I am in the motorcycle biz and traded a Harley for the car. Now its time to get it ready to drive. I plan on using this car for transportation when it rains and prevents me from riding a motorcycle to work.
I have lots of questions and look forward to getting info and befriending the contributors to this forum. I had problems on another virtical scope forum. I hope ya'll have a open mind and are freindly.:ntwrthy:
BTW I am a terrible speller and have no spell check. Peace be with you.

Welcome smokenjoep01,
Lots of good people here to answer your questions. It's not often I beat our official greeter to the punch, and while I'm typing this he sneeks in before me. Congrats on your purchase. Gary you are to fast. I have to admit spell check would be nice on here.

Welcome Joe, we're a pretty easy going group, I think you'll like it here. I use Firefox, has spell check. Internet Explorer Google toolbar also has spell check. Not saying you need them, that's just what I use to make my posts readable.

Gary, why do you say that? I did not mention your name as I know how sensitive that subject is with you. Ha :D
